These are some illlustrations i did for Soap Magazine... which will be out for the September issue i guess? photos by arseto, the model is mariana, illustrations by me
here are some photos of my artwork representing 707 (Sevenohseven) at the DJ Missil x Paint By Number night made by C&C Projects which took place at Public (sadly i couldn't attend because i was sick - read previous post,-red)
to be honest i've never heard of DJ Missil, i've been told she's from France who happens to be a graffiti artist too...but i've never heard of her maybe i've been hiding in a cage for so long..cos the only french musicians i'm currently listening to are the teenagers and the people from Ed Banger records...maybe i should expand my knowledge on the french music scene..
there are 3 other female artist doing the project, Sanchia representing WhatNot and of course DJ Missil herself
Sorry for the lack of posts lately i've just recovered from typhoid fever (trust me its not good having to stay in bed for more than a week doing nothing but eat porridge and drink guava juice) well here are some photos from the halomono ladies night!..i had so much fun because most of my Sou Brette necklaces sold out! and i got the chance to again show some works with my fellow Fembotz crew Elizabeth Hedytia (whoaaa full name)..cos it's been a reallllllllllyyy long time...but i will always love her haha...check her band Polyponyif you have the time
and to top it off, i guess the best work that night was done by my very good friend Milla , with the invisible doll and the tiny doll shoes and a background of the outerspace completed with music of the darkness on headphones! TOTAL ACE! go milla..or milkikola (?)

i am in Curvy 4 (a book of female illustrators and designers compiled by yen magazine) no words can describe how H-A-P-P-Y i am... the artists featured in this book are : Deanne Cheuk, Fafi, Elke Kramer, Marmalade UK, etc etc here's the link to see who else has been selected, click on the blog (and that's my name Muqliza Imroni) http://www.myspace.com/yenmagazine
the girls from the Squared and Disfigured Neighborhood are back, but somehow they got stuck in their parallel dreams and all of them were carried away by the giant sea shells to the Land of Cruellas. you can see the previous neighborhoods on my previous posts.
I woke up today with a new issue of Jeune Magazine (a magazine from Bandung, Indonesia) on my doorstep. I was asked to contribute some works for this issue. One was to make an illustration for an article about fashion copycats. The other was for the "Flaunt" section, which is a one page special for Indonesian artist/photographer/designer that features their works involving fashion. yay. So i sent all my girls from the Squared and Disfigured neighborhood to rock the Jeune house this issue. Betet's and Darbotz's works are also featured in this issue. So pick up the magazines at local bookstores now and enjoy :)
After being postponed for a week, finally the Sydney siders (the always friendly and lovely trio: Jule, Syd, Mirzie from Notorious Fam clothing line) with the help of some friends held the Notorious Exhibition last night. It was the launching nite for their clothing line in Jakarta, which featured works from local street artists, labels and collectives such as Darbotz, Kims, Last Supper,Footurama, etc. I was asked to contribute an artwork for this exhibition so i decided to have one my Big Eyes creatures to represent. The poster itself was called "Gun-Shy", why? just look at the poster and you'll know why. The exhibition itself was a major success and below are some of the pictures from last night.
last days of college. last days of war. below are some pictures of my final project; a book called "Cease-fire". A tribute (not) to war. This book consists of 14 songs ; in which i made the lay out of each lyric to look like some imaginary person's daily journal and i visualized each journal with my own illustrations. Salute to pacifism.
